Hey guys!
So long-story short, I've got a $1,000 budget towards a computer, and I'm trying to trick it out so that I can play on high-ultra settings for Guild Wars 2 with a tolerable framerate (preferably 40+). Could I get some feedback on my build? I think I did a decent job, but I've never built a computer and could really use the help. Thanks! :D

System Specs:

Total: $979.78

CPU Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core $169.99
CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing $29.90
Motherboard ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX LGA1155 $129.86
Memory G.Skill Value Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 $39.99
Hard Drive Seagate Constellation ES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $114.12
Video Card EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB $399.99
Power Supply XFX 550W ATX12V / EPS12V $69.99
Optical Drive LG GH22NS90B DVD/CD Writer $25.94

You are bottle-necking imo with the slower procesor compared to BA GPU

No need for a better cpu, and with this gpu I can basically have a baller ass fps on ultra settings in the middle of WvWvW. :3

I'm not sure if you've bought this already or not, but I highly recommend buying an SSD to put your Windows installation as well as Guild Wars 2 itself on. It'll speed up your loading times in the two programs a LOT, since I've noticed in the Beta Weekend that it takes quite a while to switch from zone to zone.

GW2 isn't optimized yet for obvious reasons. Currently the client is CPU heavy. The power of your GPU won't make too much of a difference. Granted that will change on release.

At least, we hope it will change on release.
