I miss Ironpass..... fun town

Short accounts of large events from a small actor:

Texteo and his gang of marauders would roam the plains of Jericho, chugging mushroom soup yet thirsting only for blood. Anonymiter's famous walls may as well have been dedicated to the group, for even though they were long planned it was the threat of these warriors that kickstarted the construction.

Don't even get me started on the Bruteor that came crashing from the heavens and was the final cause of Jericho's destruction. That was a catastrophe the likes of which Herocraft has rarely seen.

The North Road was fraught with peril, even for a hardy cleric and his cleric friend armed with trusty iron hoes.

Gone are the simple days of Atlas, when a town could be protected (at least enough to retain an active playerbase) solely by alliances and goodwill.

During one of several largely successful raids on New Coal Harbor (one of the best pirate-y themed towns of all HC history) a certain Engineer (remember combat OR crafter specs not both) decided to sleep in a bed inside one of the houses. He was then blockaded inside and kept as a pet until such time as the gods delivered him from what was deemed an overly cruel punishment. Meanwhile Tisha etc. were playing with their pet by alternately throwing bread and fireballs into the small house where he was trapped.

District 101, although my home for only a short while, had some of the most original thoughts behind it, and by far one of the most secure-yet-utilized underground cities on the map.

We miss you Zeal, even as we enjoy the future maps.

I remember the D101 vs Iron Pass battles which were very fun.

I also remember camping the shit out of Airbus's shop for hours that was probably the most fun I have ever had on Herocraft. Especially the time were we stayed at his shop for 3 hours straight and victim130 came in and took the bed we were using to stay there. (It was illegal at the time . )

Also another awesome time of herocraft was going to Acherous Kingdom when he was getting attacked by AoA. And we basically did a 4 v AoA which was pretty epic and fun.

Also the big fights on the north road was pretty fun.

I also remember the time in Zeal when rangers were godly. Were you would be perma slowed or rooted and they were the ultimate 1v1 class.

EDIT: For clarification these were the actual original Zeal TC's in my stories not the gay ones that play on Herocraft now.

My favorite part about Zeal was (from a roleplay standpoint) was how towns were loyal to their alliances. Nearly every town in South Zeal was allied so nobody ever succeeded in raiding us. it still happened but it was awesome! Now towns rarely talk to each other unless kingdoms are involved. Independence is necessary because you can't roleplay out of trouble. I think all too many towns these days die for that reason. More friendly back then.

yoIyo and BlackOhso made me join the server in zeal. We were all apart of Midgard and I mainly just stuck around town and defended it from people that got in.

And I mined... a lot.

Then I took a break for family issues and then I came back in Dragon.

Here's a picture of the OG TC hiding in Thornhollow when faced by a small party of Sidgil, myself, Victim(off camera), and Kingtom(also off camera):

They weren't coming out and whoever made their town region the night before fucked it up and the entire town was pvp-off and they knew it/used it. Kinda surprised they didn't try to kill me.

ooo I was at some of those ones during the siege of ironpass, doesnt show me though

Battle of Ironpass is the biggest fight I remember in Zeal, though I missed some of the earlier ones. That was a turning point for the map.

Hehe, that raid was insane. There was like 15-20 of them easily..
Favorite moments of that raid:

• Trapping KanJam49 in townhall and burning her.
• When Leeness rode the spider over the wall. I think theres a video of that somewhere.
• And of course when Hanpeter77 and a few other tree creepers came in and we killed them all.

Easily one of my favorite pvp moments of zeal.

I liked manning the arrow barrage in Spire and trying to shoot Acherous and Zach when they invaded.

I also loved my little alchemy shop outside of Zeal.

Twin Dicked Demons and 8 year old daughters

I've been gone for god knows how long. I actually ran into an old sanctum friend on reddit and we both thought we'd come check out herocraft during the summer again. I logged in today and Shadownub's post was the first thing that popped up. I just wanted to say reading all of your posts were very nostalgic for me because of how many friends I made during that map and how much of a blast it was for me. Zeal was up there for me, a bit rage inducing for me a lot of the time but still, my profound love for PvP at the time kept me lovin' the game. I'll post some pictures later, I'm driving home and don't have any access.

I was thinking maybe I might start playing again, are there still a lot of Dragongarde and Zeal guys who play? I feel like I would struggle to start off but I'd be more likely to stay if I were with some of those old pals. Are TC still active? Haha they never seemed like they were gonna die.
