So erm, are we going to get a response as to why it was made legal to enderpearl through doors? I'd like to see it made illegal.. :(

If you want to have a pretty door, then just put a dirt "airlock" behind it. This preserves the aesthetic benefit of a door, and it keeps intruders out. Problem solved. If the admins can't regulate this due to a Vanilla issue, then this will have to be the solution.

I personally like it. It encourages towns actually having to worry about security and use lwcs/dirt to lock up their chests. While I dont like massive looting and raiding of peoples chests I do like to see pvp in towns. Everyone just sits in their boxed up towns (Say what you want they are still freaking boxed up. Paragon???) So I actually agree with this ruling. Please tell me what is the point of this entire Heros plugin if there it so hard to actually make a town fight you. Yeah sure you could wait 3 hours until that town has twice your numbers
Now all of you whine "WE WORK SO HARD FO DA TOWN WHAT IS POINT OF DOING THAT" I say the point of a town is A) Have a place to store your chests and yes you can put dirt above that. B) So you can build a nice looking town that no one can grief. C) So people can have a safe place to live.

This will not change anything, beside people will stop spending money on lwc'ed doors, and dirt will unfortunately be a more common sight in towns.

I believe if you pay coins for an lwc door then it should be illegal for most people to easily bypass - like enderpearls. If it was more complex and required a rare component it would be one thing, but everyone can get enderpearls.

I am also curious as to what other blocks you can enderpearl through ?

I hope you know we are still playing an RPG server, not a PVP server.

Where is the role play of sitting inside/outside a box yelling insults at one another?
Why would walking out in a certain death, knowing that's what you are doing make this more RPG themed.
What about logging off?
In my eyes sitting outside a box and yelling is not better than sitting inside.
What makes teleporting trough a door and stealing items from offline people the server more RPG themed?

Erm, why do I never experience this yet PvPers seems to use this argument a lot. Even if it does happen, it's because the PvPers are mad that some people on HC don't enjoy unfair PvP (or PvP at all for that matter) and won't come out of their homes to die just for the PvPer's pleasure.

Sitting outside a box and yelling? If you were sitting outside your box houses then you would be fighting. And how is an impenetrable town RPG themed? I seem to remember then in "RP" everything is raidable. Defending a town is much more RP themed than sitting inside one doing nothing.

You dont have to come out. We just need a way to get in and sorry for double post I saw this after mine.

Well, i can't say anything about getting through doors, but how about haveing a mason make you a gate and then LWC'ing the switch to it? (seen it done) you can even do a hidden switch type for the extra security. The gates blocks would be protected by the towns block protection and an iron gate would look nice iff down correctly.
As for personal residences in the town I am not sure how to help you out there.

Don't even try to tell me that raiders don't sit outside their boxes and insult the people who live there.
Why is a town where everything is open more RPG themed than any other town?
Don't they have castles and stuff in RPG?

Not necessarily, have you ever checked what RP really is?
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=rp

Anyways, this is a game where some players got controll over the terrain in some areas, and some don't.
Because of that will there always be a possible to lock people out, with lwc'ed doors, normal doors, or dirt or other waste blocks (as we have to use now).

As I've said before, this will only change "how" people choose to protect their stuff, and most people will choose an ugly way, as that's the easiest and safest atm.

Airlocks: Use them
And what do you make your airlocks of?
Airlocks are also unpractical (concidering how much space they need, and most people got small houses in towns).

Airlocks and dirt on doors are not "that" different.

(not to mention iron gates are now useless for other than decoration).

The reason stuff like this is legal is probably because its a hard rule to enforce and cannot be stopped

There shouldn't be a way in everywhere. Raiders are already having it their way WAY too much.
Like? (And please dont say TnT because havnt even seen it yet and I dont think we ever will)

Umm Raiders sit outside the other persons town? Like I said they wouldnt be sitting out there insulting if there was actually a way to get in... lol

And I didnt say that a town had to be open. I said there should be a way for the raiders to get in. Please read my posts next time...

And If that definition of roleplay applies then what Multi said is null.
