Hello, I have a tip about a new movement among gamers. It concerns Brazilian hackers targeting United States citizen’s internet connections and websites, shutting them down and threatening until they get what they want. Their goal is to become Top Dog in the gaming market and shut down competition through hacking methods such as DDoSing servers. This is about to become big, and I want to offer you the chance to cover the story and raise awareness about this issue. Do some searches for “Herocraft being DDoS’d” and you’ll find background information. What you’ll see is that they are targeting a gaming company “herocraft” and trying to shut them and many others down.

Its really not surprising that the people at mcf or the other sites would act in such a manner. The forums are free but they sell ads. From what I can see craftlandia is a rather large server with a lot of money to throw around. Also if what they stated about bukkit in their responses is true it makes them a paying customer. There was a time that ethics had a place in business. That age died long ago. These places arent going to sacrifice revenues to help a small non-profit.

If we want them to let us speak then we need to boycot them and their advertisers. Also we should contact their advertisers and let them know of our situation, pehaps if we can get them to threaten a pull, the forum host might let us speak.

Money talks, the only way they will let us speak is if we have the potential to cost them more than the loss of a client.
